We really appreciate the fact that the CBC-mail box has been completely filled the last couple of days. I (Irina) have decided to do a little FAQ about CBC.
1) Which breweries will be at the festival?
The breweries featured at the website are the ones that will be at the festival. Awesome, is’nt it?
2) Will I be able to buy bottles from the brewers?
The thing is that we basically sell tap beer but Drikkeriget (our co-partner on this festival) will bring some sample bottles for you. As a guest, you will not be able to buy bottles to bring with you. I know that there have been some different versions circulating regarding this subject but this is the final answer.
3) I’m a vegetarian beer geek. What do I do about that, since I’ve bought a dinner ticket and 250 people will eat the same dish at the same time?
Don’t worry. Even though you aren’t that many, we have (together with the amazing chefs at Mielcke & Hurtigkarl) made a special option for you guys. When you enter the arena and get your wristband, make sure you tell the staff in the door that you are a vegetarian. They will then write a V on your wristband, and add you to a list that we hand over to the chefs. This is your own responsibility, so please remember this.
4) I am allergic/I go on a diet/I don’t eat vegetables. Help me!
Not so much we can do about it. The option is either to do as the answer above and have the vegetarian alternative; or just eat the parts that you can/like.
5) How do I get to the festival?
The place to be is Sparta Hallen, Østerport, Copenhagen, Denmark, Europe. The easiest way to get to Sparta Hallen from the central station will be to take the S-train (commuting trains) to Østerport. Just outside the station the bus 1A towards Hellerup leaves an awful lot of times per hour. Get off at the stop called “Gustaf Adolfs Gade” and walk on the same direction as the bus. Take to the left after the stadium (about 100 m) and here we are!
6) I didn’t get a ticket. Help me!
We are very glad that so many beer connaisseurs from around the world decided to take part in our festival. There aren’t any tickets available, but there will be a second chance: after the festival, stop by at the Mikkeller Bar (Victoriagade 8B-C, Copenhagen V) to get a taste of the beers you missed during the festival!
7) Which beers will be on tap each day?
The beer list is being complied as I write this, but some of the beers are secret. There will be a new post on this as soon as the list is finished. Please be patient: there will be goooood beers both days!
Hope this answers your questions. Otherwise just send a mail to info@copenhagenbeercelebration.com
CHEERS!
UPDATE:
8 ) How much will a sample cost, and how do I buy them?
We have chosen to use tokens during the festival in order to save time and yeah… you know the deal. It’s just awesome to use small plastic coins instead of Danish “monopoly”-money.
The prices of the samples will be a fixed number of tokens, depending on how rare and expensive the beer is to make.
The token prices are 15 DKK each, 7 for 100 DKK and 15 for 200 DKK.
You will also be able to buy token-packs at Mikkeller Bar the week before! Check it out, people!
